5 Things To Eliminate That Will Instantly Increase the Quality of Your Life

There is nothing I value more in the world than time. It is the most precious resource we have and too often people take it for granted. Being successful requires sacrifice, so here are five things you can stop doing right this second that will instantly increase the quality of your life and move you towards success. Time for some tough love! 


1. Complaining

Stop complaining about things. If you live in Australia and have a roof over your head then you're richer than 75% of the entire planet. Complaining doesn't change anything, it just makes people think you're annoying. Switch your mindset to stop viewing things as problems and instead, view them as challenges which you CAN overcome if you get off your ass and do something about it instead of ranting.

2. Partying

This ties in with number one, if you complain about your life but you're out partying on the weekends, please do us a favour and be quiet. You need to organise your priorities, and if you want to be successful or even if you you want to be fit or save money, this is the easiest thing to eliminate. 

For anyone that will say I "don't get it", I have spent the last 4 years being a professional DJ working 4 to 5 nights a week every single week, playing to hundreds of people a night, as well as DJ'ing in 3 different countries, including over 30 sets at Seduction Nightclub, one of the biggest nightlife venues in Thailand. I have done my share of partying in my job, in fact I have done a lot more than most. I get it. Save partying for special occasions like birthdays or even GOALS YOU HIT where it's a reward instead of a waste.

3. Binging.

This includes alcohol, drugs, eating, sleeping, watching Netflix, TV or any other binging. This I shouldn't require an explain explanation, just don't do it. Some of these are incredibly damaging to your health and others are such a spectacular waste of time. I once asked a guy why he smoked weed and he replied with 'why, there's nothing better to do' and I wanted to punch myself in the face. Drugs and alcohol in particular slow you down, it's a huge waste of money and it's the polar opposite of productive. 

If you binge in something, remove it. Whatever it is. Your future self will thank you for it!

4. Procrastinating

This is just all about discipline and you being lazy. JUST DO IT!!! Write down the most important things, do one at a time and don't stop until it's done. I often talk about productivity and here's a recent video I did about just that.

5. Bragging

'We work at jobs we hate to buy things we don't need for to impress people we don't like'.

Don't do this. Be authentic, hustle and let the success do the talking. Don't get caught up in the hype of whatever it is you're doing, I see a lot of this working in the entertainment industry. Don't go broke trying to look rich! Be honest, help others without needing gratification, be happy and be you!
