10 People All Entrepreneurs Should Listen To

As an entrepreneur you must always be learning and growing, and one of the best ways to do that is watching, reading and listening to business leaders that share their advice with the world. Whilst there is an enormous list of wonderful, intelligent and successful people in the world, here are 10 amazing individuals that all entrepreneurs should check out.

Gary Vaynerchuk

If you're subscribed to The Exceptions newsletter then you'll know how much we love Gary Vee! So first on this list is the Russian born serial entrepreneur that took his family business revenues from 3 million to 45 million dollars in a few short years. Now the CEO of Vayner Media, repeat New York Times best seller and influential speaker, he is easily one of the best people to listen to when it comes to business. Check out any of his books, and the very popular #AskGaryVee podcast show.

Richard Branson

If I could meet any one person in the world, it would be Richard Branson. The king of entrepreneurship and most famously known for founding the Virgin Group which has over 400 companies. Although he's a multi-billionaire he started from the bottom just like everybody else, and his climb from a 16 year old dropout to one of the most famous and successful people in the world is inspiring. Definitely check out his books and various appearances in videos sharing his wisdom.

Seth Godin

A name that doesn't usually appear in lists like these, is Seth Godin. One of my favourites, Seth is the author of 18 books that have been bestsellers around the world and have been translated into more than 35 languages. He writes about the post-industrial revolution, the way ideas spread, marketing, quitting, leadership and most of all, changing everything. He was recently inducted into the Direct Marketing Hall of Fame, one of three chosen for this honor in 2013. Check out his books and also his podcast The Startup School for some great, practical guidance.

Tim Ferriss

Tim Ferriss is an American author, entrepreneur, angel investor, and public speaker that the New York Times called "A cross between Jack Welch and a Buddhist monk." Most famous for his best seller The 4 Hour Work Week (which you should read if you haven't). Particularly popular amongst entrepreneurs who like to run their businesses remotely, Tim puts out content on a variety of topics, and has a hit podcast called The Tim Ferriss show.

Simon Sinek

I first discovered Simon when I saw him do a TED talk called Why Great Leaders Inspire Action (click to watch) and I was immediately hooked. His concept on the Golden Circle changed the mind of myself and millions of others. He is a best selling author, a great speaker and an unshakable optimist. He believes in a bright future and our ability to build it together. Check out his book Start With Why and watch literally any of his videos!

Jack Delosa

I've gotta chuck an Aussie in! Jack is an Australian entrepreneur that founded MBE Education and The Entourage. Jack’s vision is to improve traditional education globally, by introducing a style of education that puts learning first. Check out his weekly show #AskJackD for great advice, and definitely read his book Unprofessional which was a best seller within three weeks of launching.

Mark Cuban

Co-founder of the successful startup Broadcast.com that made him a billionaire, Mark Cuban is known as the zealous owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks and a star of the TV show 'Shark Tank.' A successful entrepreneur and investor, he has strong opinions on almost every topic and with his successful career, he's worth listening to! Check out his book How to Win at the Sport of Business and follow him on Twitter @mcuban.

Anthony Robbins

Another person that is in my top 3 list of people I hope to meet one day. The greatest motivational speaker in the world, whilst his content is not all focused around entrepreneurship, he has excellent advice on business and personal finance. His 30 day program Personal Power 2 changed my life, and he has a list of amazing books such as Awaken the Giant Within, Unlimited Power and Money: Master the Game. Definitely check out Tony.

Eric Thomas

If you want to get hyped up, then Eric Thomas is the man you need. If you've ever watched a motivational compilation on YouTube you've heard Eric's voice. Popular for his insane levels of energy and intensity, he's well known for the quote in his speech "When you want to be successful as much as you want to breathe, then you will be successful.". Listen to ET when you're feeling down, and he will pick you up, and also check out his book Secrets to Success.

Robert Kiyosaki

With only one spot left in this list of 10, I struggled to choose. Although I had to include Kiyosaki in here, famously known for his best selling books such as Rich Dad, Poor Dad which was one of the first books I read and it is exceptional. He has some seriously good advice when it comes to personal finance, investing and business. Despite some people trolling on him, I've read 5 of his books and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. He's one of the classics and regardless of opinion, his advice is straight fire.

With so many influencers in the world it's hard to narrow it down to ten, so I chose practical and socially active ones that also all have shows or books you can go out and get today. By listening to some of all the people above you will learn priceless knowledge, and I recommend following all of them on social media to keep up with them. Enjoy, and I will probably end up making a part two! Happy learning!
